The jQuery Project would like to welcome our newest team member, Glen Lipka.
Glen has been a fantastic contributor to the project offering both positive feedback and exceptional support to the jQuery community. He's consistently demonstrated his commitment to advocating the benefits of the jQuery library to his peers via presentations, mailing lists and blogs. Even when forced to use another library, Glen still chose to continue to assist the jQuery community because of his true adoration for the library and the relationships he had established with other jQuery users.
Next month, Glen will be a speaker at the premier Ajax conference, "The Ajax Experience", where he will be presenting his session, "jQuery for Designers". In this session, Glen will explain how, through the use of jQuery, all different categories of designers can improve the experiences of their customers without learning to "program" and without getting the engineers involved.
In addition, Glen is writing a designer revolution book called, jQuery for Designers, which will specifically focus on helping designers become productive in jQuery.
Glen is a UX Architect in Silicon Valley , currently leading UX at Marketo, a RIA marketing automation company. Pioneering UX Design since 1995, Glen has been at the forefront of rich internet experiences for over a decade. His early internet design company Koko New Media developed the first web animation, the first all-Flash e-commerce site, the ground-breaking e-commerce work with Grainger and the award-winning business extranet Hotkoko, which was one of the first RIA applications.
Not a programmer, yet more technical than a designer, Glen has always had a passion for enabling designers to take control of the User Experience. He blogs frequently at http://www.commadot.com.
Glen will be joining the Evangelism group and will assist in designing new programs that will help to promote the benefits and goals of the project. His expertise in UX will be a huge benefit in establishing different methods of communicating how jQuery can dramatically enhance a user's ability to build effective UIs and will also help in attracting a broader audience to the project.
Please join us in welcoming Glen to the jQuery Project Team. Rey Bango jQuery Project Team
