I agree it is strange.  Based on your comment, I thought to try the
same exact copy that is used in the example on your site (just in case
something had changed between versions).  However, it still behaves
the same way.  This is a very large site with quite a lot of (legacy)
JavaScript, so I wonder if something else might be affecting the input
fields in some way.  It is strange, though, that ajaxForm() by itself
does not have the same problem... there seems to be a difference in
the way that plugin and your stop the default submit.
