I have submitted an enhancement to the ajax function. a partial callback, which gets called as each chunk is received.

I have a server application where I start a long running process and want to give the user feedback on how it is progressing. I need the server process to send information every few seconds. I have had a look at heartbeat and rss but both of these need the client to make the requests. I want the server to send the information without it being requested.
