Why can't plugin authors provide useful downloads? I just tried to look into n2menu and wanted to download it, yet it seems to be impossible to get the js file. Download is generally dificult with many pluggins so one gets the impression downloads aren't wished. Doesn't the jQuery plugin site have a space where plugins author could uplod zip files of the plugins?
