Position : SQL Server DBA Location: MN (Need Local) Duration: 3+ Months Role Summary - The SQL Server Database Administrator will be working as a team member on the SAP project reporting to a Lead DBA. It would be beneficial if the DBA has experience with refreshing database, performance testing & analysis, and SAP database install. Mandatory Skills: Education: - Required - 4 year degree in Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field or 5 years of experience in database design, administration. Work Experience: 4 - 6 years experience in database design, administration. Microsoft SQL Server - Database security, encryption, and auditing - SQL Server 2005 Clustering - MSCS 2003 Microsoft Clustering - SQL scripting - SQL Profiler (Tracing) - Performance Tuning Skills / Knowledge SSIS is a big plus Nice to Have Skills: - Technical SAP Basis skill set. - Understand and follow DBA team guidelines. - Respond to all requests from project team, client users, project leads, Senior DB Engineers, and the Team Lead in a timely fashion. - Proactively updating the status of a particular issue/problem to appropriate stake holders. - Respond to trouble tickets communicated via pager, phone call, or ticketing tool. - Perform daily database monitoring / maintenance checklist, installs/upgrades, and operations (DB backup/restores, start/stop DB services) as directed by project lead. - Participate and lead in analyzing issues, systems or problems having large or total organizational impact. - Adhere to Service Level Agreements and Objective Level Agreements. - Strive to expand DBA knowledge.
