WebSphere Details follow: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide insight on technology decisions and integration plans for back office electronic trading system platform. . Design and code software for the Trading Systems Back Office product line. . Work closely with business leaders to learn the business rules that govern the product that you will be coding. . Work with QA to ensure that your components are unit tested and conform to business rules. . Work with other developers to ensure technical/design consistency across our product line . Develop technical specifications to satisfy functional specifications. . Perform component testing to ensure modules meet technical specifications. . Regular technical and functional code reviews. . Provide user support for existing applications. . Identify, propose and implement code/module reuse. . Identify, propose and apply new technologies to improve various Corporate Applications. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED . Development experience in the Equities/options/financial industry is required. . Development work on financial industry applications is required. . Candidate must be willing and able to quickly learn and apply computer-related technology. . Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred. . Experience of developing proprietary applications within a multi tier environment. . Experience with developing in Java is essential. . Experience of developing in J2EE environment is essential . Experience of UI building with Swing is required. . Experience of NetBeans IDE is strongly preferred. . Experience of using SQL to develop scripts and stored procedures is essential . Experience with IBM WebSphere is essential. . Prior exposure to Full Project Lifecycle experience is essential. . Experience with Software Configuration Management Tool such as Perforce is essential. . Experience of Ant build scripts is preferred. . Ability to work independently with less supervision is essential. . Strong Written and Oral communication skills are essential. . Good organization and time management skills are essential.
