*SUMMARY**
Senior Level QA/Test Analyst needed to join a high-performing centralized
quality assurance team, supporting software development of large scale power
utility software systems. The test analyst will be responsible for producing
high quality test documents, performing test execution, and working closely
with developers, subject matter experts, and external vendor representatives
to assure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS/EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED WITH:

**Client server applications
Oracle / SQL Server databases
Web applications
Advanced VB Scripting for complex automated testing using Quick Test Pro
(QTP) – Record and play back is not sufficient -**

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or the equivalent
combination of education and experience.

A minimum of five years professional experience in software quality
assurance or equivalent.

RESPONSIBILITIES *

   - Work closely with technical and subject matter experts to gain an
   understanding of requirements. Provide input regarding those requirements
   from a quality perspective.
   - Use analytical thinking and information gathering skills to analyze
   requirements and technical design to determine the appropriate test
   strategy.
   - Write formal test plans that include coverage and testing approach.
   - Write detailed test cases that are clear and reusable.
   - Perform test execution and capture results for testing including
   system, functional, regression, load, and integration testing.
   - Defect management including, logging defects, tracking defect status,
   and working in high collaboration with software development staff to assist
   in the reproduction and resolution of defects through closure.
   - Implement proven risk mitigation efforts and make recommendations to
   improve product reliability and performance.
   - Work with subject matter experts to assist with user acceptance testing
   and post implementation verification.
   - Bring a quality presence and perspective to all phases of the software
   development life cycle.
   - Provide consultation of test processes and tools.
   - Ensure that the reliability, performance, and functionality of assigned
   features and functionality meet or exceed business goals.
   - Review and provide feedback to improve solution development process and
   tools.
   - Mentor quality assurance team members as needed.
   - Contribute to technical strategy and planning to allow for new
   directions and technologies.
   - Report status and communicate risks to stakeholders in order to raise
   quality awareness.
