The role really covers both aspects (Technical and Functional).
Keys to filling this requirement with your consultant:
1. Ability to interact with the business and project team
2. Demonstrated experience and ability to capture clear requirements & understanding clients requirements
3. Ability to identify when issues exist and what they need to do to get them resolved
4. We need a person that can work with the business to design a solution, and configure the system as per the design. The items listed below are very important as well e.g. documentation, as this is integral to the overall solution.
ORACLE Projects Consultant:
Confirmation of the requirements, documentation of the ‘to be' scenarios
Analyze the business requirements
Design and conduct system demonstrations (CRPs) based on scope/requirements and document output
Perform and document gap analysis against core ORACLE functionality
Perform process analysis, design and documentation for required modules (project costing; project billing; project management; interfaces with Financials modules)
Document and execute Projects module configuration
Perform unit testing of configuration
Deliver guidance on system functionality (within scope) to enable end user generation of test scripts
Investigates and resolves issues during testing and updates appropriate reference documents
Deliver regular and timely project updates to Project Manager
Ensures issues are notified and escalated to Project Manager
