OF POSITIONS : 1* * JOB DESCRIPTION* The rate depends on the candidate's expertise. *The candidate MUST have expertise with testing Layer 3 network protocols, specifically with OSPF!* *Description:* The Network Test Engineer is responsible for verifying & validating the features of my client's Edge Switch. The position is responsible for hands-on testing of routing protocols-specifically OSPF and other L3 protocols. It is also expected that the QA engineer stays up to date with current networking and security technologies, methods, and procedures. *Primary Responsibilities:* Perform functional and system level testing on Edge-Switch and LAN Products. Develop software test plans, test strategies, and test tools to verify the software meets or exceeds design guidelines. Working closely with development and product marketing to help define the test strategy, analyzing problems and generating problem reports. Setup and configure OSPF Protocols and maintain test infrastructure/testbeds. Leverage or create test tools & automated test cases to maximize efficiency. *Required Work/Industry Experience:* 5 years experience QA experience. Must have experience in testing or hands-on experience with deploying or managing one or more of the following technologies: Understanding and experience with Enterprise Network Services (HTTP, SSL, SMB, VOIP, etc). Network infrastructure (switching, routing, access-list) is a must. Must have basic knowledge and understanding of switching & networking. Must have hands-on testing of L3/IP routing protocols, specifically network testing of L3 protocols(RIP, *OSPF*, BGP, ISIS ,etc). Have experience with L3 Test and monitoring tools. Desirable to have experience in stateful network devices. Desirable to have scripting or other automation experience : Tcl/Tk, perl, shell, etc. Education and Certification Requirements: Bachelors degree in BSEE/BSCS or equivalent; Masters degree preferred. *REQUIRMENT NO: 2* * POSITION : TEST ENGINEER* * LOCATION : SAN JOSE, CA* * DURATION : 6 MONTHS* * RATE : DOE * * NO. OF POSITIONS : 1* * JOB DESCRIPTION* Test engineer with good routing knowledge * 4-5 years of practical networking experience preferably with cisco products. * Work experience with service providers prefered * Knowledge of any of MPLS / QOS /L2VPN / Multicast / IPv6 / a plus. *Cisco certification - CCNP / CCIE is good to have. *Knowledge of Tcl a Plus. Specific Skill sets (for Immediate Projects) * VPLS/L2VPN Knowledge * ATM Any experience or knowledge of MPLS / QOS /L2VPN / Multicast / IPv6 will be desirable.
