CĂUTARE, regia Ionuţ Piţurescu
Produs în 2009 la Sibiel, de Aristoteles Workshop - un program anual unic de
training,
dezvoltare şi producţie de film documentar, "Căutare", regizat de Ionuţ
Piţurescu, este un film despre doi prieteni din Munţii Apuseni care au o căruţă
drept casă şi un cal drept tovarăş, în călătoria lor prin Câmpia Transilvaniei.
Documentarul, recompensat în 2009 cu Premiul ICR pentru
cel mai bun documentar realizat în cadrul atelierului Aristoteles, este
câştigător ex-aequo al Premiului SFR pentru Cel mai îndrăzneţ
scurtmetraj în cadrul secţiunii Quinzaine des Réalisateurs de la
Festivalul Internaţional de Film de la Cannes, ediţia 2010.
Ionuţ Piţurescu are 31 de ani şi este antropolog şi regizor de filme
documentare. A participat la cursuri, conferinţe, ateliere şi şcoli de
vară internaţionale. Încă student, a făcut cercetare în Mexic (Huichol,
2003), Morocco (Berber, 2004), S.U.A. (New Orleans, 2005), Andalusia
(Gitano Calo, 2005), regiunea arctică (Sami, 2006), în Europa de Est şi
în Balcani. Devine interesat de antropologia vizuală şi regizează filme
documentare ca: Kule – surviving Balkan architecture (2009), Balkan's
Digest (2008), Seize the time (2008), TransClicheinia (2006).
REBEL, REBEL, regia Mihai Bauman şi Alexandru Belc
"Rebel, Rebel",
documentar realizat de regizorii Mihai Bauman şi Alexandru Belc, este o
incursiune în lumile a două adolescente. Ambele par sa se simtă mai bine
printre băieti şi trăiesc departe de părinţi. Dar Delia şi Silvia ies
in evidenţă în comparaţie cu adolescenţii de vârsta lor... Filmul a fost
selectat la secţiunea First Steps a Festivalului Intenaţional de Film
Documentar Visions du Rel de la Nyon, Elveţia (15 - 21 aprilie 2010).
Mihai Bauman are 33 de ani si este regizor. Printre documentarele sale se
numară "Groapa" (2001), distins cu premiul "Paul Călinescu" la
Festivalul CineMAiubit si selectat la DokFestival Leipzig, Germania;
"Nepotii lui Adam" (2004), distins cu Premiul de debut de către Uniunea
Cineastilor din Romania si selectat in mai multe festivaluri
internationale; "Built to Burn" (2008), selectat in 2010 la Festivalul
de Film Arheologic Agon din Atena, Grecia. De asemenea, Mihai Bauman a
regizat si spoturi comerciale si seriale de televiziune.
Alexandru Belc are 30 de ani si este regizor. Printre proiectele sale se numară
documentarul "The Sound of Mountain" (2007), selectat într-un program
paralel al Festivalului de Film de la Berlin in 2007, si scurt metrajul
"Treburi de familie" (2007).
FEMEI PE PÂNZĂ, regia Otilia Babără
Prin documentarul "Femei pe pânză", realizat de regizoarea Otilia Babără,
descoperim trei femei care lucrează ca paznic la Muzeul Brukenthal din
Sibiu, gândurile lor, tristeţea lor... Filmul a fost selectat în
Secţiunea Principală a Festivalului Internaţional de Film Documentar
CRONOGRAF de la Chişinău, Republica Moldova (11 - 16 mai 2010), unde a
câştigat Premiul pentru Debut, oferit de Uniunea Cineaştilor din
Moldova.
Otilia Babără are 26 de ani şi este o regizoare din
Republica Moldova, de film documentar de scurt-metraj, ficţiune şi
documentar. A lucrat şi ca producător şi scenarist. Din 2009, este
regizor la studioul de producţie din Republica Moldova, AltFilm. A
lucrat ca producător asistent cu regizori recunoscuţi ca Igor
Kobileanschi şi Sergiu Prodan. Filmul său de debut, scurtmetrajul de
ficţiune “Covorul", este un film de referinţă printre filmele
studenţeşti recente şi a fost proiectat la mai multe festivaluri de film din
Europa Centrală şi de Est.
FĂRĂ NUME, regia Mila Turajlic
Cel de-al patrulea documentar, care va închide seara AW 2009 la ICR este
“Fără nume”, în regia Milei Turajilic, din Serbia. Într-un oraş liniştit de
munte, bătrânii încearcă să se împace cu viaţa de apoi, în timp ce
tinerii caută sensuri în ziua de mâine.
Mila lucrează în prezent
la un documentar de amploare, „Cinema Komunisto”, despre rămăşiţele
industriei cinematografice comuniste din Serbia. Mila a studiat politică şi
media la Londra, producţie de film în Serbia, după care s-a
specializat pe film documentar, la prestigioasa La Femis din Paris. A
lucrat pentru Discovery Channel şi ARTE (Franţa) şi ca asistent de regie pentru
filme ca “Apocalypto” (r: Mel Gibson), “Fade to Black” (r:
Oliver Parker), “Brothers Bloom” (r: Rian Johnson), “Human Zoo” (produs
de Luc Besson).

Piţurescu
Two characters, a carriage and a horse. Where are they
going ? Towards what? Joy, torments and undefinable music. Vulnerable,
yet, they do not surrender. They are the poets of time.
The film
produced by Aristoteles Workshop Association 2009 in Romania has been
honored by the Société des Réalisateurs de Films (Film Directors'
Society) with the award for the most audacious short film, from the
Director's Fortnight (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) Cannes 2010
international selection. It is awarded by a jury of professionals and
young directors brought together by SFR.
Ionuţ Piţurescu is an
anthropologist and director of documentary films. He participated at
international courses, conferences, workshops and summer schools. During his
studentship he has done field researches in Mexico (Huichol, 2003), Morocco
(Berber, 2004), U.S.A. (New Orleans, 2005), Andalusia (Gitano
Calo, 2005), Arctic area (Sami, 2006), as well as around Eastern Europe
and Balkans. In past years he started to develop a passion regarding
Visual Anthropology and documentary film: Kule – surviving Balkan
architecture (2009), Balkan's Digest (2008), Seize the time (2008),
Pity, bre, they don’t make us a road (2007), TransClicheinia (2006).
REBEL, REBEL by Alexandru Belc and Mihai Bauman
"REBEL, REBEL" offers
fragmentary glimpses of the fascinating universe of two highly authentic
teenage girls who prefer spending their time with boys, being separated from
their parents.
The film has been selected to be part of
“Visions du Réel” Documentary Festival, in the “First Steps” category
(15 - 21 April 2010 in Nyon, Switzerland).
Mihai Bauman is a 33
years old Romanian documentary film director. Among his documentaries,
there are also "Pit" (2001), awarded with the "Paul Călinescu" Award at
"CineMAiubit Film Festival" in Bucharest, Romania, and selected to
DokFestival Leipzig, Germany, "The Grandchildren of Adam" (2004),
honored with the Award for Film Debut by the Filmmakers Union of Romania and
selected in several international film festivals, "Built to Burn"
(2008), selected in 2010 Agon Archaeological Film Festival in Athens,
Greece. Furthermore, Mihai Bauman directed various commercial spots and
television series.
Alexandru Belc is a 30 years old Romanian
documentary film director. Among its film projects there are also the
documentary "The Sound of Mountain" (2007), selected in a special film
programme at Berlin Film Festival, and the short film "Family Stuff"
(2007).
WOMEN ON CANVAS by Otilia Babără
"WOMEN ON CANVAS" unveils three women guards from The Brukenthal Museum, in
Sibiu,
Romania - their thoughts, sadness and their own micro-world in this huge
palace-museum, like they were trapped in a box.
Otilia Babără,
one of the students of Aristoteles Workshop #4 (2009), received the
Award for Debut at CRONOGRAF International Documentary Film Festival,
Chişinău, Republic of Moldavia, for the film "Women on Canvas".
Otilia Babără is a 26 years old documentary and fiction short film director
from The Republic of Moldavia. She also works as a film producer and
scriptwriter. From 2009 she is the film director of AltFilm, a Moldavian film
production studio. She worked as a production assistant with known directors as
Igor Kobileanschi and Sergiu Prodan. Her film debut, the
short fiction film "The Rug", is a reference film amongst the student
films made in the last years from Republic of Moldavia, being screened
at various film festivals in the Central & Eastern Europe.
NO NAME, by Mila Turajlic
The AW 2009 film screening night at ICR
ends with the documentary „No Name” (Fără nume) by Mila Turajilic,
Serbia. In a quiet little mountain town, the elders try to come to
terms with the afterworld, while the young are looking for the meaning
of tomorrow.
Presently, Mila is working at an ambitious project, a documentary called
„Cinema Komunisto”, about the aftermaths of Serbian
communist cinema.Mila studied political sciences and media in
London, and film production in Serbia. Later on, she attended the
prestigious La Femis in Paris, specializing in docuimentary film-making. She
has worked for Discovery and ARTE (France) Channels, and was an
assistant director in productions such as “Apocalypto” (r: Mel Gibson), “Fade
to Black” (r: Oliver Parker), “Brothers Bloom” (r: Rian Johnson), “Human Zoo”
(produs de Luc Besson).
