Asociatia ACT cauta un tanar(a) pentru un loc de voluntar in urmatorul proiect EVS. Proiectul are o durata de 7-12 luni *01.07.2010 - 30.06.2011* si se deruleaza in Italia. *Va rugam sa ctiti cu atentie mesajul organizatiei din Italia catre potentiali voluntari:* Dear Volunteer thank you a lot for your interest in our project. In order to avoid any misunderstanding about the nature of the project, and any illusive or wrong expectations I we'd like you communicate these 3 points to you and ask you to confirm me personally your strong resolution to participate in this specific project: è The project is located in the nice Toscana country; in a _quite isolated area_; it's important then to understand that the social life out of the project is not easy to build, even if not impossible... on the other side Florence is not so far actually by bus or train. Consequently, the hosting project would fit on volunteers mature and flexible, ready to live in an isolated place; who are coming to us, because they are interested in the project and not only in the EVS experience (like travelling, learning the italian language...) This is surely a part of the EVS, but the main reason why to come for us must be the project. Our volunteers live next to the organisation, in a house, which makes part of the organisation structure, where 10 autonomous old people are living (they don't need assistance) and in this house you will share a room with bathroom with other volunteers. è* The project** deals with people with a _serious mental handicap_; (about 13 adults and 5 youngsters ) most of them have a low (or very low) physical and mental autonomy. That's why you have to be also REALLY motivated to work with that kind of people and not to be scared.* Hoping to not scare you about this EVS project, because I think sincerely it's a really nice one... at least if we are aware about its essential characteristics. But I think it's important that the volunteer, who will be actively involved in a project during 7-12 months in a foreign country, be clearly aware about the reality he/she will face.
