I've done a test and it's confirmed:
* produce to upstream topic 5M messages at 6K per second rate
* at the same time produce in parallel to downstream topic 5M messages at 6K
per second rate
* all the 5M messages has been replicated from upstream to downstream cluster
* downstream topic size at the end is 10M messages
