This is a starting point for the implementation of the tool proposed in [KIP-640](https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/KAFKA/KIP-640%3A+Add+log+compression+analysis+tool). I consider this to be a work in progress, though we've been using this tool internally for some time with success.
