Headers are useful for tracking many aspects of the performance testing. Like regions, hosts, etc... There is another implementation and a [jira issue](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-10462) that were created in 2020. This implementation allows to pass headers via command line args and is similar to #9254 , which passes headers via a file. Maybe both features could be added?
