I am tempted to remove versions older than 2.1 – but we have to consider the
implications and make sure we are following processes correctly.
What are the tests we are thinking about? For upgrade tests, those old version
are only ZK upgrade tests (upgrading from ZK -> ZK) which I think we could
remove? I guess what remains is maybe client/server compatibility tests? But
does KAFKA-14560 suggest we don't need such tests?
I'm also wondering if there is any guideline/specification for how long we
support older versions in tests like this. [~ijuma] would probably have better
insight than me.
