https://github.com/jenkinsci/github-branch-source-plugin/pull/158/ makes Jenkins aware of tags. Once discovered, you can go to https://<jenkins>/job/<job>/view/tags/job/<tag>/ and trigger a build, but I would want the build to be automatically triggered.
As per https://github.com/jenkinsci/github-branch-source-plugin/pull/158/#issuecomment-331849109 the behaviour is expected, requiring another plugin to change it. Some people have even created such a plugin (e.g. https://github.com/AngryBytes/jenkins-build-everything-strategy-plugin) but I can't find anything in https://plugins.jenkins.io/.
