I have a machine that it limited to no higher than Java 7.1. (It's an AIX 6.1 machine) I am running Jenkins 1.6.4.9 for this reason.
I can get Jenkins running fine, but when I try to install the git plugin, it installs dependencies that require Java 1.8. I cannot find any information on specifically which plugin dependencies are requiring Java 1.8 or not. IS there a version of the git (and, by dependency, git-client) plugin that will work with Java 1.7?
