I’m glad you were able to figure something out and move forward. It does appear to be the same issue in those reports in those other projects. In the elasticsearch one they identified it as a bug in the interaction between aufs and the JDK. As we suspected earlier it seems to involve a filesystem issue and not be related specifically to the userid migration. I wonder if the bug exists in more current versions of Java.
