Hi, I am moving from Jenkins 1.656.1 to Jenkins 2.78 (both linux boxes) and I noticed a different behavior of "multi-level single select" parameter type from version 0.56 to 0,76. The difference is that if a comment, like <!-- comment -->, is part of a value, this is not shown in the drop-down menu in the old version but in the new one is shown (but the whole string is passed to the Name variable). Name: mydeploy First Second Third a1 b1 c1<!-- a1;b1;c1 --> a1 b1 c2<!-- a1;b1;c2 -->
I need this because when, in a later build step, I execute a shell, I am able to assign to each variable all the in cascade values i.e. $First=a1,$Second=b1 and $Third=c1 instead of having only the last one i.e. $mydeploy=c1 (in case I wouldn't use the comment), as imposed by the plugin default behavior. At the moment my workaround is to continue using the old plugin but I wonder... Is there the possibility to have the new version behave in the same way as the old one?
