Hello Jenkins Community!
I am documenting our authorization strategy implemented for our Jenkins
instance. We currently use a 'Project-Based' authorization strategy made
available via the Matrix Authorization Strategy plugin for Jenkins. In the
formal documentation (as well as the property notes within the Jenkins web UI),
state that "This mode is an extension to "Matrix-based security" that allows
additional ACL matrix to be defined for each project separately (which is done
on the job configuration screen.)".
My question is; what exactly does ACL stand for? I understand the ACL is the
permissions grid, however I'm unable to find exactly what this acronym stands
for. 'Access Control... ?'.
Thanks in advance for any information!
