Which machine would you like to check? Which os? Is it one of the Jenkins slaves?
If it's Linux, then it's a matter of minutes: create a freestyle job, run a smell script that would check df output on the partition (s) you're interested in, and return 1 or 0 if there's enough left. Then configure the job to send the mail when the build fails.
