I installed jenkins 1.544 onto Ubuntu 13.10. Upon trying to configure a maven2/3 build I found it had not GIT SCM option. I figured the git plugin was not installed (I thought it was installed by default). I reviewed the list of available git plugins, although there are many plugins listed the git scm plugin is missing.
I am unable to build a project using git or mercurial. Both plugins are missing from the install and from the update site.
