I was reading through forums and Jenkins wiki but I don’t seem to find an answer for my questions: If I have a windows Jenkins Master, and a couple of linux slaves: Would I be able to compile .net project? How will this work since there is no .net framework on slaves? Where can I read how the Jenkins slaves function in more detail – since the wiki only describes a general master/slave interaction? If I have a lot of .net and java projects – is it more optimal to just create windows slaves, even if I lose some performace by not running on *nix? If there is an advanced documentation about this – I would be grateful if you will point me to it.
