Measuring almost anything with lines of code is almost always a bad idea. It motivates and rewards incorrect behaviors or is ignored completely (and thus does no harm).
Having said that, I suspect that Sonar can provide lines of code reports along with other more useful reports (like findbugs warnings and test failures).
