I have two dependent projects. In both project two files are there in common..i have given this file x.java in both dependent projects..But still showing no fingerprints match between two projects. Both projects are recording fingerprints.. my workspace is in slave-windows machine..master is linux..For fingerprinting whether i needed to archive the same file i am using for fingerprinting? i have seen one option like fingerprint archive artifacts?..Actually what is the need for fingerprinting archive artifacts?..i can use any of the file right?
What might me the reason of no fingerprints matches?.i don't put any jar files for fingerprinting like in the example of jenkins wiki..only two java files.is it enough? One information is showing like fingerprints may not be under jenkins home? Actually location of fingerprints are in seperate workspace of my slave..in master under fingerprints an xml showng md5 sum for fingerprints in both projects.. Please somebody point out my error..After reading wiki i am getting confused.. Thanks in Advance varghese
