Summary: Replace auto refresh with  ajax  AJAX
Description: The current auto refresh support is clunky and apparently has side effects
(see JENKINS-193). I don't like the
blinky effect of refresh, and I should need to have the option on every page.
It's confusing. Getting the current status should "just work".

It would be better to extend the  ajax  AJAX  support such that no refresh is needed
anymore.
