Also experiencing this issue. Windows Server 2012, upgraded to 1.540.
Gets to "Jenkins is getting ready to work", and then stops.
Also worth noting, the plugins tried to update at the same time as Jenkins itself. Jenkins successfully installed the new war file, but then tried to do the plugins, which all failed. Not been able to start it successfully since.
