I put a bit of money where my mouth is on this one via the "Sponsor this" link... $100 bucks isn't much, but if others value this one as much as I do perhaps we could contribute enough to have this issue bubbled up to the top, worked on, and released. The build flow plugin is exactly what I was looking for – external job flow configuration – and integration with the Build Pipeline view is it's killer missing feature.
