Description:

When saving a job configuration, some characters are XML-escaped, e.g. the phrase 'echo "Hello World"' is stored as 'echo "Hello World"'.
If this XML-file is uploaded to Jenkins through the http://myjenkinsserver/createItem API, the escaping is removed. If the job is run or manually configured and saved, the escaping comes back
This causes among other things a lot of confusion when comparing different versions of the config file, either through the Jenkins Job History feature or through a version control system if the configs are stored there.
