Because there's no Overall Read permission for the Anonymous User Jenkins defaults to requiring you to log back in. So from the user perspective when logout is clicked it just brings you back to the Jenkins home page. A log out actually occurred. It's a configuration issue that caused the user to be forced to log back in. To be clear this isn't really an issue. I don't think we should change the label because changing hides the intent of what it is actually doing: logging the user out. If Anonymous Read is desired one can do one of the following: Configure Authorization Strategy with Matrix-based authorization strategy and set Anonymous Overall Read permission. Contribute a code-fix that provides a "checkbox option" for allowing Overall Read to Anonymous when a user is using the GitHub OAuth Authorization Strategy. Either way, pull requests hiding the logout button and hiding the intent of the logout button will not be considered viable fixes.
