I managed to use the latest and greatest version of the git plugin and have it
work on Windows. I installed the latest git for Windows package from
git-scm.com. I installed it without the installer modifying environment
variables. I installed Git in c:\git. Then I manually added c:\git\bin to the
system PATH variable.
