Britain Crooker commented on JENKINS-11023: ------------------------------------------- This would definitely be a good feature to add. Our workspace is 2-3GB, and definitely doesn't need to be included in the ZIP. We have been manually doing the ZIP process up until now and this would make for a much cleaner mechanism to do this. Ideally this would also be an option when triggering the shelving via the HTTP GET option. > Add "Wipe out workspace" option > ------------------------------- > > Key: JENKINS-11023 > URL: https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-11023 > Project: Jenkins > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: shelve-project-plugin > Reporter: G. Ann Campbell > Assignee: ashlux > > Recently unshelved some old projects & hit build. > Because of the timestamp changes(?) every file in the workspace got marked as > out of synch with CVS & there ensued much churning of bits as each file was > set aside & re-pulled from the repo. Took _much_ longer than a fresh checkout. > It would be nice if there were a "Wipe out workspace first?" option during > shelving. > Given the nature of what you're doing, you likely don't need to archive it > anyway -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
