I've experienced the same problem independently of the "Prevent Cross Site
Request Forgery exploits" settings.
It works now. In my settings the bug was in an intermediate HTTP proxy. It was
encoding the URL path: replacing the '$' of '/$stapler' by '%24'.
Shouldn't Jenkins handle that encoding ?
