Hello Gavin,

I just submitted an message a few moments ago (I don't know if it requires
approval to show up), but I would very much like to adopt your
digitalocean-plugin.

It has been a tremendous help in the past and I am having issues with it
not being able to test the connection properly. It would be great to be
able to contribute back to the Jenkins project, which has been the
foundation of my career as a developer and DevOps engineer :).

The PR for my request to be a maintainer is:
https://github.com/jenkins-infra/repository-permissions-updater/pull/3995

I think it is funny that a few days after I got laid off from my previous
job, that this plugin should need adoption. I just recently (1 month ago)
started a new role as a lead DevOps engineer and have been busy trying to
get up to speed over the past month with the new environment, but I think
many people may benefit from the continuation of this plugin and I would
like to take on the task of maintaining it. I know I have, in the past.

If I get approved to take over this plugin, would you mind if I pestered
you with some questions as to where you were taking the plugin and what you
think needs changing? I think the underlying Java API might need a complete
replacement, since it is over 4 years old and I cannot successfully test
the connection to Digital Ocean.

I know that they (Digital Ocean) are still on V2, but for some reason I
cannot get the connection test to work (401 Unauthorized). While I have not
taken a deep dive into the issue, I know the token I provided is valid,
because the plugin was able to pull my SSH public keys from my Digital
Ocean account.

Anyway, I know this is a long block of text that nobody really wants to
read, so once again I thank you for the plugin you created and maintained
:).

Best regards,
Steven
