Allow makePersistent outside a transaction: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-589 Any additional comments on this? We could simply allow the NonTransactionalWrite flag to affect makePersistent and deletePersistent. This would be a slightly incompatible change; we would no longer throw an exception if a transaction were not in progress. But it might not matter. 5. JDO 3.1 Anything else for 3.1?
