After the reload, using the JDE only .emacs, I can now come up & load a .java file, and I'm in JDE. I don't get the error messages I got on the test machine. Using my regular .emacs, I have a problem with speedbar. I put the JDE stuff toward the end of my .emacs. I conjecture that I am picking up the version of speedbar that comes with emacs, not the one in CEDET. So I should probably put the JDE stuff, or at least the pathology, early in my .emacs. I'll play with that. -- Charles Curley /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign Looking for fine software \ / Respect for open standards and/or writing?
