How about if you re-install IE 8? Ever tried that? I had some issues some
days ago and did just that.

Strangely enough, I am still getting my email, but two things are

What doesn't work?
Try this approach. From the message list, press ctrl+shift+O for the
Options tab control and then press ctrl+tab to get into the Read Tab.
Uncheck the 'mark message as read after displaying for' checkbox by
pressing spacebar.
