If it's just on ancestry.com, which is the only site you mentioned -- it's got something to do with that site specifically. It could be something like a profile or account setting. Or else, it's a glitch. I searched google and came up with someone who had a similar problem; nobody replied to him, it looks like, so maybe it never got resolved.
