Sharon, You can read a pdf with Adobe reader or Acrobat reader.
But Jaws2018 can OCR / scan a pdf, so you donn't need a program. When in explorer select de pdf. Press the application key and press j. The option is: recognise with Jaws. The ressult is not allways even good as with an real pdf program, but you can scan the pdf. Also when the pdf is an image. I thought that Word 2016 can also open pdf files. And Jaws2018 can also use Edge, but it is not on by default. Go to settingscenter by ressing ins-f2. Go to default config with ctrl-shift-d. TGype: edge and arrow down. Here you can turn on Edge suport. If you find it will cause problems, then you can turn it off the same way. regards, marten On Thu, 21 Jun 2018 02:51:40 +1000 "Sharon S" <ko...@areujoking.com> wrote: > Hi all, I have been sent a document I really need to read as soon as > possible but it is a PDF and it appears I don't have a program on my laptop > to read these.
