I can't find SQLDirectory and friends checked into Lucene proper or the
sandbox. I'm not a lawyer but I feel the licensing issues here are gray.
Fortunately, DbDirectory lives in the Lucene sandbox and so seems
legally safer. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Hi Rick,
At the time I wrote SQLDirectory, it did not have any kind of
license. From my part, feel free to use it however you want to. Maybe
you should check whether lucene contributions fall under some license.
Be aware of an issue with lost handles. The lucene API did not
properly notify its implementation at this time, so some counters
were unstable. This might have changed in the past few lucene
revisions... Also watch the performance achieved.
Regards,
Marc
