We are now beginning recruitment for  ** Quality Review Beta Testers**
of the new Programmer Certification exam:

         Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform 1.4 exam

This new certification will test skills and knowledge in the following
areas:

         o  Language Fundamentals
         o  Flow Control, Assertions, and Exception Handling
         o  Threads
         o  Fundamental Classes in the java.lang package
         o  The Collections Framework
         o  Overloading, Overriding, Runtime Type and Object Orientation
         o  Operators and Assignments
         o  Garbage Collection
         o  Declarations and Access Control


WHO:

If your specialty lies in Java Programming and you are familiar with the
new
JDK 1.4, then this is your opportunity to:

o  Shape the newest Sun Certification for Java Professionals
o  Preview exam questions before they go live!
o  Provide feed back on the quality, applicability, and correctness
   of the questions

Qualified participants should be Java Programmers who have experience
writing
commercial grade applications with the Java Programming language.  We
are
looking for individuals with a broad range of skill levels to take the
exam,
from those with a year or so of experience to experts with a minimum of
three
years experience.  If you meet this description and want to personally
influence the outcome of Sun's Java Programmer Certification Exam, then
please sign up as a Beta Tester!

WHY:

The purpose of beta testing a certification is:

(1)     To eliminate all bad, incorrect, and/or poorly phrased
        questions from what will ultimately become the final - the
        Go Live (!) --  version of the exam.  This is done by
        providing beta testers the opportunity to comment on as many
        questions as they choose.

(2)     To test the test against those most qualified

WHEN:

The beta will be offered at Prometric testing centers worldwide
