Hi Mikael, I committed a fix few mins ago (to file XSTypeHelper) for the problem you mentioned serializing the file MIF254-sml.xsd.
So now both MIF254-sml.xsd and sbml.xsd serialize fine. Please take update of the code-base and test again please. Some new options are added to XSSerializer as well (mainly we are now able to select the XSD language URI prefix for serialization -- for example, "xs" or "xsd". if schema URI prefix is not specified, XSSerializer takes that as "xs"). Any further feedback would be welcome.
