hello, I met the exactly same problem with myeclipse6, when I use ' run as myeclipse server application' , the tomcat server6 starts successfully and the project works, then i redeploy the project ,the exception apperas. i remove the xerce jar from my project as you said but unfortunately the exception remains.
Someone else meets this problem also, but situation differs.
