I think (6/2-1) and ((6-1)/2) are the same.

Assume N is an even number and N = 2x, x is a positive integer, then

int(N/2-1) = int(2x/2-1)=int(x-1)=x-1

int((N-1)/2)=int((2x-1)/2)=int(x-1/2)=x-1
