I guess that I'd want to know what your space budget is and how much ATS
contributes to that. I'm ok with size-reduction if it helps. I'd much prefer
several independent build options than a single magical --enable-micro' option.
WRT --enable-standalone-iocore; possibly that has some value in forcing us to
have sane linker dependencies and sane API layering. It would also be nice if
some of our own standalone tools used iocore instead of select(2).
