*Problem*
Local coverage on Spark 5.0.0-SNAPSHOT ({{{}d7635d099d6{}}}) showed gaps in
configuration warnings, bulk value conversion, invalid {{isModifiable}}
responses, and Column-valued bucket counts. Regressions could drop warnings,
accept invalid responses, or construct incorrect requests.
*Proposed change*
Add five tests without changing production behavior:
* {{{}test_connect_conf.py{}}}: three configuration response tests using a
mocked client.
* {{{}test_connect_plan.py{}}}: two partitioning expression tests using the
existing fixture that builds plans without a server.
The expression tests check function names and argument order in Protocol
Buffers (protobuf), the format used to send expressions to the server.

Both affected test modules and Python lint checks pass. The tests verify
warning forwarding, value conversion, the {{silent}} flag, error classes and
parameters, and partitioning function names and arguments.
