We just figured out the refactor of some classes when we performed in
SPARK-51814 broke "forward compatibility" for Spark 4.0 client vs Spark 4.1
server in Spark Connect.
This wasn't caught since we are yet to release Spark 4.0 hence we don't have
automatic test with it in OSS.
Reverting the refactor would be the simplest way to fix the issue.
