After a quick look of the upstream Spark, it may have the following potential
challenges or tasks need to be resolved at community:
# Currently Spark support Hive 1.2.1, the Hive 1.2.1 dependence may can’t
replace with 2.x directly. Make sure both 1.2.1 and 2.x are usable and testable
may be a challenge;
# Support ORC changes between Hive 1.2.1 and 2.x;
# Support HiveClient changes between Hive 1.2.1 and 2.x;
# Support LOG dependence changes between Hive 1.2.1 and 2.x;
# Support HiveAuthFactory changes between Hive 1.2.1 and 2.x.
