addChildDocument is tempting but the incorrect choice when doing "nested
documents". Since most users should move on from the older anonymous child
docs to nested docs, we can deprecate this and internally store anonymous
children in a reserved \_childDocuments\_ key. See SOLR-12298 for some
ideas/discussion.
