Working with a production set up, periodically we see a remnant core sitting on
disk after deleting a collection, which then causes a new collection with the
same name to blow up when we attempt to create it.
I don't know if it's related to this, but will reference it. Since this one
is mostly about HDFS, and we don't support that anymore, I will close this
ticket.
